Leakage Test
A seat leakage test evaluates flow through a closed valve. Test medium, temperature, differential pressure and closing load must be specified to compare results. External leakage through the pressure boundary and leakage past the seat are separate assessments.
High-temperature valve testing
Operation and leakage are checked at room temperature, at high temperature and after cooling back to room temperature.
